Come as you Art! Live figurative drawing is a fundamental practice that strengthens an artist's observational skills, technical abilities, and creative vision. It provides a solid foundation for further artistic exploration and development. Meet our models and register for classes below.
AGREEMENTS
Establishing a respectful and safe environment for both artists and models is crucial. Here are some essential agreements when you enter LOLA New Hope for these sessions:
All participants must understand and respect the model's right to consent. No touching or inappropriate behavior is permitted.
Maintain a respectful distance and avoid intrusive or prolonged eye contact.
The primary focus should be on artistic expression and observation.
Any feedback or critique should be directed towards the artwork, not the model's body.
Clean up after yourself and respect the studio space.
No photography or recording of the model is permitted without explicit consent.
The model has the right to communicate any discomfort or concerns to the studio owner or facilitator.
The model has the right to feel safe and comfortable at all times and take breaks as needed.

I have a strong interest in creating art, the problem is that I'm not artistically talented. The next best thing for me is being part of the art. Seeing others' interpretation and visualizations of a single moment, immortalizing this snap shot of time, is rewarding.
I'm excited to incorporate yoga in the poses and convey thoughts or emotions with only body language. How much can we say without our words?

Meet Our Model September 12 & October 17
As a film photographer and vintage collector, I believe in preserving the moments that matter. Art, in its various forms, not only allows us this act but also makes it a communal practice. I'm excited to join Lola as a figure drawing model as I've always seen figure drawing as a way to bring people together. My father would take me to Fleisher's in Philadelphia as a child to sit in the figure drawing classes with a sketchbook of my own. Having this early exposure set the tone for me as an artist, and to have this come full circle feels kismet.

Meet our model
September 19 & October 10
Modeling is an art form. It is my physical expression as an invitation for interpretation. It’s a special bond between humans where we can be both still and expressive in each other’s presence. It’s energetically peaceful, a sort of walking meditation between the model and artist or photographer sharing that state of reverence and calm. I find it exciting and fascinating to see if and how my emotion has been captured or my physical characteristics are interpreted by different individuals. As a photographer and artist I find the human form to be a captivating landscape of contours and textures energized by a depth that is both physical and emotional. I love modeling, expressing myself and collaborating with others.
